Ikebana: newer and better!

I've gotten out of my ikebana funk. Sensei hardly had to fix my arrangement at all this week, and you know, I could tell it was good when I finished it. I am a freestyle master!!! Watch out, Shouka style; I'm mastering you next. ;)

And I've said this before, but it's so good to be back at ikebana class. I've now visited Sensei's house in every season. She installed a new air-conditioner for us over the summer, and soon it's going back to using the heaters. I'm ready for the weather to finally cool off, though.

The only downside is that flowers are more expensive in winter.

Makudonarudo

So I don't go to McDonald's often (there isn't one in my little town), but when I do it's always interesting.

These are the current happy meal toys. They're little taiko drums, from the taiko drumming games at all the arcades over here (Think Dance Dance Revolution, but hitting the drum instead of doing the steps). They're really cute, and you can pick whichever one you want. I guess I'm getting old, because when I was a kid you just got whatever happy meal toy was in stock that week. There was none of this choosing stuff!

Anyway, I'm digging Ronald McDonald's style.
